So I’m sure a lot of you folks, like me, wish you could play 2B1C all the time. Well, now you can, thanks to the nice folks over at SiGMA Communications Inc. Their lovely little version of 2B1C can fit in the palm of your hand, all you need is an iPhone and 2 hands. It has all the stuff the real 2B1C has, white and orange balls, a cup, and a playing surface. Wow! In this version your opponent is time. I recommend you try it out the next time you get stuck in traffic, some lame meeting, or even while you’re out with your friends you don’t really like. The 2011 2B1C Fall Season Has Officially Begun!

The New 2B1C Court and Cup Base

It’s official, the 2011 2B1C Fall Season is now underway. The first game of the season took place yesterday at 6:01pm (CST) and was viewed by almost 5 people. One fan reportedly filmed the match although we have not been able to obtain the evidence yet.
The match itself lived up to every bit of the increased expectation one could have hoped for, unlike the iPhone 4S announcement just 6 hours prior. It was a classic match between 2 of 2B1C’s fiercest competitors and sure to be future Hall Of Famers, of course I speak of Jefrey Hamilton and Britney Mueller.
Yesterday’s match had a total of 4 lead changes, 3 Hot Pockets and 1 sore loser, all this coming after a 6 month hiatus. It was great to see these seasoned veterans picking up where they had left off last season. For all of you out there in internet-land who were unable to attend yesterday’s match, there have been some changes since last season. The 2B1C court is now at a new location, we no longer use a stack of magazines as the base of our cup, it has been replaced by a classier Microsoft Office:Mac software box, and speaking of replaced, there’s a new reverend in town,John “Sqritin”Hertenberger.
For the first match of the season it was not a sloppy one at all. Both players had decent BOC percentages and adapted well to the new location and cup base. In the end, it was Ms. Mueller that hit the shots we she needed to the most, connecting on a hot pocket plus 3 for the come from behind victory. Mr. Hamilton’s Tall Texan rebuttal was not too far off the mark as well. The final score was 24-18, we are taking this as a sign of things to come and look forward to the best 2B1C season to date.

Booger Ball was found under Boozer’s desk behind the filing cabinet. We do not have anyone in custody quiet yet but Booze Town is a prime suspect and conveniently out of town currently. The interrogation will begin Monday.

Rollin’ On Mixed Dubs

A friendly mixed doubles exhibition match was played Friday with some new comers to 2B1C. The original line-up was the power house duo of Jefrey and Anna(first official match) versus Britney and Ryan(first 2B1C attempt). The game started off with a bang with Jefrey sinking his first pong attempt. The BOC’s were plenty but the points were few. There were a few early quickies and some negative scoring for a while.

Ryan finally found his groove and he and Britney started piling on the points. It was about that time Anna deserted her team and left The Bear as her replacement. Let’s just say the chemistry wasn’t there for Jefrey and The Bear, they couldn’t even celebrate a Hot Pocket without making it awkward.

The final score of 24 – 7 does not truly reflect how humiliating of a beating the game was. Britney is undefeated in the 2011 season but is putting off her series with Mandy that she is behind in.

In other 2B1C news, Reverend Even is batting 1.000 for his 2011 campaign. Having made his one and only attempt this year he has vowed to keep his 100% BIC average by not attempting another toss for the remainder of the year. Good Luck Rev.

The 2011 2B1C season started today with a friendly match up between old rivals Jefrey and Britney. Jefrey kicked off the season with a hot pocket on his first toss. Both were a little rusty from the long winter hiatus due to the holiday season and followed by office construction and the relocation of the official 2B1C court. Looking forward to a great 2011 season.

Mandy 23 – Britney 8
This game did not have a lot of highs. It was the first game back after a long break from the tournament. Neither player hot pocketed and the BIC’s were low. Mandy did manage to string a few points and thanks to Britney’s lowest BOC% in a 2B1C tournament game, Mandy took a 2-1 series lead.

The ‘G-Pocket’ Is Born

In a friendly match earlier today between Jefrey and Susan a new pinnacle in 2B1C was reached. In the opening tosses of the match Jefrey threw a triple hot pocket. He made the first 6 balls consecutively to reach 15 points before Susan had a turn causing her to go straight to rebuttal. After she missed her 2 rebuttal attempts another record was set, shortest 2B1C match. Witnesses were Boone’s Farm and Rodolfo.
After the match it was decided that the feat should have a name. Sticking with the ‘pocket’ theme and using the middle initial of the player that accomplished the achievement the ‘G-Pocket’ was born.

Mandy 35 – Britney 24 (2OT)

This was hands down the best 2B1C game I have ever had the pleasure to witness. Two scoring powerhouses at the top of their game. 4 total Hot Pockets, 3 by Mandy with 2 of the 3 coming in overtime. The lead exchanged hands 6 times. This was to date the highest scoring 2B1C game not to mention the first successful double sneaky grandpa.

Mandy ties the series at 1 game a piece.

Britney 20 – Mandy 8

From the beginning both players looked a little sluggish. Their BOCs were high but neither could string together a hot pocket. The series is sure to heat up in game 2 after both players warm up to the work week. I’m thinking this series might go to a game 7. Stay tuned.

The series is scheduled to begin Monday, November 15th. This should be a good series, both players are coming off a series win and they do not like each other at all. This could be the first time we see blood shed during a 2B1C match, this is sure to be a doozie. Get your tickets early, this series is sure to sell out.
